This social hour is hosted by the GNOME Project. GNOME is the default desktop environment provided in Fedora Workstation. Many Fedora contributors participate and contribute with the GNOME Project too. This social hour is a chance to meet other Outreachy applicants from another project, get to know the GNOME community, and learn more about open source.

I am excited to to let you know that we will be reviving GNOME’s social hour event! The purpose of this social hour is to bring together the GNOME community. It will also be an excellent opportunity for newcomers to meet frequent GNOME contributors. Since the GSoC and Outreachy application period is going on, we also saw this as a great opportunity to try to invite the mentors of the GNOME projects!
